TUBE FUEL PUMP SUPPORT PIPE AND OTHER LUBE OIL PIPES OF CYLINDER HEAD
Tube fuel pump support and others is a set of lube oil pipes fitted in the cylinder head of DLW manufactured ALCO design diesel locomotive. These pipes ensure leak-proof joints, low pressure drop & smooth flow of lube oil in tube contributing better lubrication in engine of locomotive.
All these 3/8” seamless tubes are bent to shape using fixtures specially designed for the purpose. The tubes have ferrules and nuts at the end and can be supplied also with loose ferrules & nuts.
As such ferrules while fitting first time takes position around the pipe when the end of the pipe is fitted in the ERMATO flareless fittings having tapered female cavity in which ferrule sits. On tightening the nut ferrule gets locked to thinner surface and forms a leak proof joint. Ferrules are case carburized so that they can bite the tube.
