NOZZLE COOLING SLEEVE
Nozzle Cooling Sleeve is fitted in middle of cylinder head of ALCO diesel engines of WDM2, WDM3 & WDS6 locos of Indian Railways. Outside surface is surrounded by cooling water whereas in inner conical portion seats injector with almost matching profile of inside of sleeve. We have been supplying the sleeves to Indian Railways for past 3 decades and would have supplied maximum quantity in India.
The sleeves are manufactured from severely tested SS304 pipes with controlled wall thickness cut to size, formed and machined after solution annealing. Machining is done on SPMs suitably modified from traditional lathes to suit requirements of machined dimensions and production rates and assurance of zero defect by our veteran quality team.
Due heat treatment ensures that sleeves withstand severe thermal stresses generated during operation and do not fail by developing cracks after prolonged usage.
